Description
This past week i have been detoxing for a medication called Lexapro. My world became spiny, and abstract form my own thoughts. I didn't see the world correctly and had troubles determining if it was me or the chemicals i have lost. I had to subdue my anger in ways i have never thought was possible because the words were not my my own. Then escaping the numb was even harder. The happy twisted dark world I was dealing with was gone. Numbness lingered and it still lingers, but not as bad. I have learned a lot from this experience. Now it's time to move forward and grown up.Related content

Good luck with growing out of chemical dependency. I believe that some people are born with a need to supplement what their bodies and brains didn't give them. If you can do it- great! If not, there are lots of less difficult alternatives than Lexpro. Of course, if this photo is any indication, your art is great without anything!

Being a lower class citizen at the time forced me to grow up. I couldn't afford the medication and thus I had to deal with my problems. I still have the occasional panic attack, but they are few and far between. This piece reflected that painful time in my life. Not only was I poor, I had to deal with detoxing which was more painful. When I look at this piece, I remember that time and I remember how I was guided out of the pain. I'm free now, and life is moving forward.

Tell me about it....I left home when I was barely 15 years old, worked my way through school, and dealt with many problems similar to yours. Poor? Who isn't it..oh, right 1% or 2% of the population. I'm glad you are moving forward!

All of those hardships though makes us stronger. That's assuming we don't let it sour us. I almost did. I'm glad that I was pulled out of that mess before then. Now, i am growing, and becoming more each day. I still deal with the chemical issue. However, it's not as strong because I"m not in that place anymore. Soon, I will take off and shine. I don't know why though.
