A tricky concept. It screams out the death of man, but also the life of people from days past. A very interesting, but wonderful, mix.

Lovely composition. I love how this photograph creates a sense of life after life - if that makes sense. Mind you, I'm a staunch supporter of branch lines remaining open - and seeing rail lines fade saddens me.
If you want more locations of disintegrating rail lines or bridges - go to:
Gundagai. the old rail bridge there is rotting and falling down, but it's an impressive structure. Especially on a foggy day (many a time I've passed through and not had my camera with me, or been in a rush)
Another good one is between Naranderra and the Boree Creek branch line. There are trees growing between the tracks.

It's rustic yet alluring. Looks like a good spot to rack the carton open and watch the kids fall between the wooden rails as we roll around laughing. Bet your glad I'm not your mum!

To boldly remind people of their childhood and discover uncharted rail bridges!

DA DA LA DAAAAAAAA :indy:
I was tempted to go further out on the bridge (to escape the annoying tree shadow, mostly), but it appeared to want very much to fall down or kill me. Or both.
