Description
This is for the lovely who was so patient with me and my football display which she shipped across half of the world Can't say enough 'thank you!' - it was a big wish for my bf and so he was willing to sit with the baby while I was drawing this
The original painting will be on it's way to you tomorrow :>
It shows her character Cy'ril - who was a pleasure to draw. I can't say when I had the time for traditional watercolor paintings last time - it must be over half a year ago now. But I enjoyed it very, very much.
Tried the technique of Gold-Seven here: first sketching digitaly, then outlining with pencils and (because my printer ink is not waterproof like hers) inking with waterproof ink.
For the colors themselves I tried to imitate Naschi 's style of coloring which is vibrant and just a pleasure to look at. Consider me a fangirl

Wonderfully done. It is very original. I love the technique of the watercolors and how they flow together. You did a wonderful job of capturing a nigh scene, which is hard to do with water colors, I know I haven't mastered it yet. I also like they way you were able to translate the colors and make the plants appear to be to glowing.
You were also able to mix the dark background with a brightly colored spellbook and a neutral colored Unicorn, and balanced the picture well allowing for a well flowing movement of eye throughout the entire piece.
Over all a very well constructed and put together picture and I wish I could commission on from you of my favorite equine character.
