Sorry that none of these dumps are meant to be read consecutively. Each "bubble" or situation is meant to be read separately.
Top-right: In the soundtrack LND!Erik goes "he knows you're made of finer stuff... I think on that we're all agreed... it's time to--" and pulls out a really big gaudy necklace ala Moulin Rouge or Titanic. :I
Top-left: "Look with your heart" is such a disney-ish song. Probs because Glenn Slater wrote the lyrics and he also did the lyrics for Tangled. But it's the tune and everything about it as well. "Someday my prince will come" comes to mind, as a comparison.
Top/mid-middle: BAMS (get it, get it?) and while LND!Erik is busy moaning "Oh, Christine!" Christine is in an awkward position since she doesn't really know Erik's name.... XD
Mid-Left: The Beauty Underneath as I imagined it when I originally heard this song. NO JOKE.
Mid-Right: LND!Erik wants to sing a disney song too. Not only that, a SECOND duet, right after BAMS. Sigh... "Once Upon Another Time" is disney-like for obvious reasons.
Bottom-Right: The last thing you'd ever think the Phantom would yell during a supposed "canon" show on West End is "MR. SCHWELCH!!" (and I might have misspelled that. Too lazy to look it up.)
Bottom-mid/left: Christine is finally dead, Meg is still in tears (of remorse?) and LND!Erik is not nearly as freaked out as one would expect him to be. He sort of sits/stands up, dusts off his coat and looks about like "well, who's up for some hot dogs?" Gustave's response is expected.
There you have it folks. The opinions and ideas expressed in this dump ARE anti-LND, hopefully somehow making light of it all at the same time.

I agree with the last panel. You would think after TEN LONG YEEEAAARRRRS of waiting for Christine, finally getting her back, and then a nutcase shooting her would cause the Phantom to act a LITTLE sad!

you pictured it PERFECTLY. That's what we feel listening the soundtrack... and yes, Christine's death... I don't know what mr Webber was thinking but it's WOEFUL. For example in Moulin Rouge, on Satine's death scene, we see so much emotion, but here the Phantom is like... "oh, bother. how am I going to remove the blood stain from my coat now...?" Well actually is no blood stain in the DVD... well, good thing, I have hematophobia

Oh haha thanks!! EXACTLY Satine's death... even though I can see her death coming a mile away and I don't care too much for their characters, seeing his reaction is just too much and I always cry.

Actually Christian says in the beggining of the movie that the woman he loves is dead, it's kind of a spoiler, but still I always cry (I think Moulin Rouge makes everybody cry...) and I can't avoid loving the movie
About the reactions beeing too much, the director said he was inspired by Bollywood cinema style, maybe that's the reason... it has a lot of drama of course but I like dramatic plots

yeah it's just messed up. XD crazy movie! But I've LOVED the songs for years now, even before watching the movie. So I appreciate it for that, for sure.

I've never seen Moulin Rouge, but my friend and I just watched Love never dies last weekend and she is convinced that Mr. Webber wrote the whole musical just so he could kill christine, since he wrote the musical just so Sara Brightman could play christine. But then she divorced him, so he killed her off.

Not saying it wasn't. The whole musical was unnecessary, Christine's death just ruined it. I think they were trying to make it just as tragic as the original.

It could have been a whole new story. Man and woman love eachother, but he's got a messed up past and leaves, she gets married, has his kid. The plot was pretty sappy, but it was there. The lyrics were decent but the music was great, he should just have written a whole new story and left Phantom alone.

you're right, although the plot is kind of clichΓ©, it could have been a new story with some work and improvement... but joining it with the Phantom ruins all the characters and all the meaning of the true message we get from the original.

Exactly. Phantom was a Phenomenon. Love Never Dies was a mad grasp at fame. I mean, Andrew Lloyd Webber already has more money than he knows what to do with. So, why?

And Phantom is probably the work of his lifetime. It's running on theaters for more than 25 years! Why should someone pic is masterpiece to do this? I just dont understand why a artist would do that, my drawings are a much minor work than The Phantom of the Opera and when I think I'm finished I cannot bear the idea of adding a single trace to it because I'm afraid of ruin it (and they are not such a great thing
