you can use small "post it paper" squares (like this: i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/0… just be sure to get the ones without adhesive.
I used these post it paper for making flowers. If not, then you can cut 5x5 cm or 7x7 cm or 10x10 cm squares of paper and fold the flowers. It doesn't matter what size you are making them, you can make different sized flowers and put them in a bouquet, or make a flower ball (kusudama). In the end it's your choice just remember that the height of the finished flower is half of one diagonal of a square. For any other questions feel free to leave a reply and I will try to help you!

Have fun folding!

So I have all the units and everything, it's just that my glue is horrible and putting them together is hard. Plus I'd probbly put it together wrong anyways, so I need help. t~t

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarkUmah In reply to Aenex [2012-07-10 10:09:01 +0000 UTC]

Sure what can I help you with?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aenex In reply to DarkUmah [2012-07-10 16:47:14 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'd need help with putting the units together, since I'm not entirely sure how to. *Is Stupid* Also, the glue is horrible, so the only other thing I can use to put the 7 units together is the stapler or the sellotape.

DarkUmah In reply to Aenex [2012-07-10 17:10:21 +0000 UTC]

I will make a short tutorial on how to "glue" them. You can also get a better glue, try the one from BISON (hobby glue) it's the best for unit origami I will link you the small tutorial soon.

OrigamiOverflow [2012-06-30 01:57:24 +0000 UTC]

Nice tutorial, first time I have seen the petals joined by stapling them rather than gluing...I can certainly see that being an upgrade especially with the seemingly ungluable foil paper!

DarkUmah In reply to SEWong [2012-06-02 12:07:48 +0000 UTC]

I try to make them as clear and explicit as possible so all can fold easily without making "snowballs" after each try.

the flowers look stunning as they are! they feel more real by being bent that way (they don't need to be perky perfect)
i'm so happy that my tutorial helped you do such an AMAZING creation!
