Description Hey all, told you there would be some new stuff coming!

Anyway, getting back into the swing of traditional inking with this piece which is well overdue as it was originally being produce digitally. Scrapped that one and started fresh with my trusty pen and the awesome pencils from !

Took me a while but, a lot shorter then the original digital version which has progressed no further than this [link] in the last 18 months BUT, as you can see does have crisper lines!!

As with every piece and every artist... there's a few lines I'm not happy with. Not gonna point them out but, compared to my previous stuff it should be pretty obvious! I hope I've done the pencils justice though and if anyone can see something I've missed please feel free to tear it to pieces
Like I said before, it's been around (if not longer than) 18 months since I last inked anything so, the rust is there and that's a fact!
Still, can't complain - it's one project finished now I just have a load to catch up on yet

Oh! was keeping me company again! So, took a little longer then it should have but, in total around 4 1/2 hours =/

Tools used:
Just my trusty 0.5 pilot V ball pen - that's it!

No photoshop used in this one!

I used a Pilot 0.5 V Point pen and the rest is just me but, I've been doing it for a while (about 10 years now).
Also, the right type of paper helps keep everything crisp. If the paper is too porous, the ink bleeds in to it and you get a softer line.

As a pointer thought, if you're cleaning up in photoshop, use levels to correct the contrast instead of the brightness/contrast settings.

Hope this helps

You shouldn't undersell the inker's part in the process. Inking can bring out parts of a drawing that might not be noticed when it's in pencil.
But anyway, I'll go check out his stuff now.
