Hi,let me design her war suit and it will look like THIS.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE her design, I only don't like the SU style with so little details.....AND I MISS A CAPE ON HER BECAUSE EVERY GREAT LEADER HAS A CAPE!!!! So I did a YD war design in Anime style. I did base it on her canon appearance but made it more detalied and added/changed certain things.
Soo....her canon design is really good, but not entirely perfect xD
Yes, I believe the Diamond's weapons are swords. Because what else? Why did no other gem have a sword if it is not reserved for their great and almighty matriarchs? IT WOULD FIT SO WELL
Oh and the Pearl is there for height comparison...she so smol beside her misstress omg

Wow...I am speechless. I love this anime style which gives this really cool look of superiority.Pearl looks as ready as ever (not) and Yellow Diamond looks ready to bring the crystal gems to their feet. She looks strong and powerful like this with a sense of epicness. This is original as i don't think anyone's done this yet and she just looks so menacing and mean.The technique of this you used is AWESOME she looks intimidating and strong. I wouldn't want to fight her. And that CAPE is badass if i could have it i would...and wear it all the time.

Oh god this is super awesome! I like the normal yellow diamond, but this is WAY WAY WAY cooler! The armor on her is really cool looking, are it is SOOOO cool! Also, swords. I love sword. That sword is really really really REALLY X100 reallies cool and very well designed! It is fun to see people breaking out of Show Style, and capes always make everything look cooler. Also, the teeny tiny yellow Pearl. It's fun to see how tiny she is compared to yellow diamond and her really long neck. Anyways this artwork is a solid 10/10 for me! Great job on it!

This is amazing! I hope her weapon will be similar to something like this crazy sword! It's not just the sword I like though! The outfit design is also insane with it's crazy design it looks like it came out of another franchise!

But....that is impossible since Opal already has a bow and do not every gems with the same stone have the same weapon? And the diamonds do have the same stones....so they have to use the same weapon. Maybe BD's sword will look different, more elegant and thiner. But I sure can imagine her with a sword

Perhaps it boils down to personal preference? Blue Diamond preferred to keep her distance back at the arena, and Amethyst's use of a whip compliments her less-than-intended size.
