Because a demon with such an appearance is totally made to be a character for the target audience that would buy the EQG dolls... lawl, hasbro, you so silly at what you green light to be associated with MLP...

Moreover, in Rainbow Rocks, Sunset says "A demon. I turned into a raging she-demon."
And as you know, Akuma's signature move, the Shun Goku Satsu, is also known as the Raging Demon. *XD*
