Description Tada! It's my very first attempt at a kanzashi! Ok, so this isn't the first flower I produced, but that was kinda scary looking, so yeah... This is the first final product. I'm gonna give it to my mom for mother's day since she loves blue. It's made out of the silk I had left over from my haori bolt. Still plenty left, so I should be able to make a bunch of these. I'll probably make some more of these for Geek.Kon as well.

Kanzashi are so pretty and easy to make, but they take practice to master. Good luck with the rest of the.

Surprisingly, once you get the first petal down, it's a lot of repitition. It was actually kind of easy! I bought fabric for more... I feel a new hobby coming on....

Yes, I did! Thanks for the comments! I plan to make a bunch more - I just ordered some kimono sleeves on eBay, so they will be the fabric for the next wave of kanzashi.

Geek Kon is the weekend before Halloween this year. You should come and help me run my table in Artist Alley! It's $20 for the whole weekend this year if you pre-reg. No need for a hotel either. You can crash with me.

I might. I'll be home this time. I need a part time job though but I think it would work. We'll see how it goes. Yea Mickey wrote me back with the date also. Keri is also getting married in Aug so I just wanted to make sure the dates didn't conflict
