All three of my summer event pieces have WILDLY different appearances lmao; you'd think three different artists penned them all but no, it's just one adventuring fool with a tight schedule and no limits haha. I thought the blobby sketches I'd made for this composition were too cute to like... refine into a more "realistic" style, so I doubled down on the cartoonish-ness of it instead. I like it alright! Could use more refinement as far as a style goes, but it's a good result imo. Did block shading (cell shading?) instead of blending it this time to keep that simplistic aesthetic i was going for. I also picked a palette instead of going for color realism with regards to the environment, because the brown dirt and green tree just looked ugly.

The big boy was designed by SweetChimera , the smaller friend was designed by me.

Daitens are a closed species created by KingSmiggles, you may only get one through limited events or adopts.
