It looks like the focus is set on the skeletal face and not the skeletal hand holding the gun. This is a departure from how this sort of photos are usually taken (focus on the gun, of course). This departure does two things for this piece which works in your favour: 1. Death is behind violence (guns are not the reason why you should fear. Death is.) and 2. it's a subtly different perspective from the rest, that alone sets it a part from the rest.
The blak and white contrast look good, too.
In all... not a bad photo, by far.
