Ripto, quit stealing people's crowns. You're going to get your ass kicked.Man, I remember when I first decided these two were my OTP. I shipped them for all the wrong reasons, and fell out of interest when my headcanon got broken.
Buuuuut thanks to a resurgence of fanart of the two, I've looked back, thought about things, and realized that I actually still ship it. Maybe little!me was onto something that she didn't recognize at the time, but these two fit pretty nicely into the types of pairings that I do ship. (even if they are technically a crack pairing, but.)
That and it's amusing to see people get so up in arms over this ship.

... also, when I first found out that Meen saves Ophelia, my first thought was a "damnit, I can't ship Meen/Roboto now!"

I always found this pairing amusing, just for their opposites: "-you ruled an entire realm for how many years? I WANT THAT! D<" "-you tried conquering two places for how many years? You're lame. -_T"
It's better than some people pairing Red with Sor, which makes absolutely no sense.

Hey, now, I still like to pair Red with Sor as well, if only on the basis on sheer crack. Plus color theory that doesn't make any sense, but hey, lulz doesn't have to make sense.
All the same, the fact that Ripto and Sor would bicker is one of the things I find I enjoy about the ship nowadays.

"You hate the ones you love" (or more to the point, "hatesex") is one of the less absurd rationalizations made in various other fandoms for similarly absurd pairings. I seem to recall Josh and I having our theory be something from way in the past (like, they had a fling before she got pissed off at the dragons and threw them all out or something).
... then again, we've also made such instances as baby Sor throwing a tantrum to get those "stupid dwagons outta my howse" being the actual events of the dragons' banishment from the Forgotten Realms, so you can pretty much just disregard our ideas as crack for the lulz. We just try to break brains.

That one came about after seeing people say Sor was 1000 years old. Only problem is, we noticed, the banishment itself happened 1000 years ago, so she wouldn't have even been a year old if that was her actual age.
