A very re-worked version of an old picture that I also have here in DA [link] . I was not satisfied at all with the old version, so I repaint most of it to publish it on Forgotten.The picture shows a ghost story, too long to post here. But you can read it here: [link]

That backstory is quite poetic, and works really well with the piece. It's not too long to post here at all... it could easily fit in the description or as a literature deviation...

I read your poem, and I'm a little bit confused. Did she kill her lover and he is buried with her? Or is she some vengeful spirit who kills unfaithful lovers?

I really like how when you re-worked this you made the colors darker and more somber. It really adds to the drama of the piece, and drama lends itself well to Macabre and Horror. Really nice job! It's gorgeous and haunting!

I'm always analyzing your pictures carefully to learn coloring like that myself. I come to the conclusion that it's actually not that hard, most of it is knowing where to set a course and knowing which color goes where. You enjoy my respect for doing it so well, I still have much to learn.

It's not a photomanipulation, it was done exactly the same way as the other version. Indeed it was just a retouched version, painted from beggining to end. I think this version is improved, the other one has a lot of mistakes, but that's a question of tastes

OK - read the story, but since a picture is worth a thousand words, I submit that there is more power in the lover's hand than the story suggests. The curious should Google "Mandrake," "Main de Gloire," and/or the good 'ol "Hand of Glory." The clues in the picture suggest that the bloody blade is not from taking the lovers life (the soil of the grave is undisturbed - there is ivy growing over it!) - but just perhaps from the grisly work of the taking of her own murderer's hand - the hand that took her life. Dark magic here - powerful stuff indeed!
I think your picture tells a better story than the story!
