I've been working a little in the past with jumping spiders. I've got keys for identification species in Salticidae family and few books about them. That helsp a lot, but not always, especially when you have young or very little specimen.

What aspects are you working with? Taxonomy, life cycles, ecology?

I work on beetles ecology. I'm especially interested in saproxylic species - these which develope in dead wood. My wife works on entomopatogenic nematodes.
Spiders are our additional hobby

It was mounted on the camera. As I remember I added two sheets of paper from the both sides of spider to give it more balanced light. But yes, only one flashlight was used. Effects are so good that I resigned to buy special macro flash.

The truth is that these are one of the most "inteligent" spiders, but I can't say what and how they feel
