This pain was not meant to hurt so much,
Why didn't I build the walls higher?
These tears reveal the battle's lost.
Nothing but shame can face me now.

All the punishments I withstood,
The dreams I banished from my mind.
I built a fortress without knowledge..
The weakness that plagues mankind.

And yet the castle continues to fall
Like diamonds as the heavens cry.
The demons I locked behind stone walls
Have escaped and hunt me to my death.
