Actually he's still alive. The manga shows him getting brought back with Nagato's jutsu that brings everyone back to life.

No problem, I hope it doesn't spoil it for you. I thought about it after I sent the message that you may not have wanted to know all that...lol. Some people like to be surprised. But I remember I was really sad too when I read it in the manga and thought he was dead. I'm glad he lives.
