Stunning work! I love how beautiful and realistic this is. The flower and its associated stems, leaves, and buds are rendered in gorgeous, crisp detail that contrasts wonderfully with the looser backdrop. Great job creating harmony between the subject and backdrop while still focusing attention on the lovely flower. Both the colors and textures work to this end.

Though it may merely be the scan, the only thing that bothers me about this amazing piece is that the pistil and stamens appear to come out of nowhere near the center of the flower. With everything else in the piece being perfectly distinct and extremely well-defined, it's a bit strange that I can't seem to make out the bases of these structures amidst the solid yellow of the middle of the flower.

Regardless, this is one of the prettiest, most skillful florals I've seen in a long time! Excellent, excellent work.
