Well I certainly agree with you on the "fucking murderer" aspect, but she isn't a complete monster. Did you watch the Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise arc and the relationship between her and Rock, there was a tenderness and sensitivity she displayed there that makes her far more complex than a murderer. Although I do admit that her pension for killing people is in no way bad ass.

NOOOOO I'm late. actually Revy is showing a lot of improvement. the later arc kind of shows how her attempts at being a badass killer stem from her lack of self worth. anyhow she has shown a great deal of improvement as a person and the lead good guy is going psycho magnificent bastard. however she still isn't a very nice person.

The problem is, any psychopathic murderer can show tenderness in any instance. It's what makes them terrifying. The idea that they can be these lovely person one moment, and turn into a horrible monster the next who's one motivation for killing can be simple things like annoyance.

Yes I suppose you have a point. To tell you the truth, I wasn't so crazy about her character either at first, as she seems more like a villain character than a heroine, but that's what makes anime so different from western cartoons, they rarely have the clear distinction between good and evil characters.

I read up on things before viewing or playing. When I found out what Black Lagoon was like, namely its main cahracters, I said fuck it and wasn't EVEN going to watch/read it.

Oh so you got all of your info on Revy from reading about her character! And because of that you decided not to watch the series or read the manga. Understandable I suppose, as Black Lagoon is a very dark, twisted series that at times seems to revel in darkness and depravity, so I certainly can't recommend it for everyone.

I personally love stories that have deeper characters. Kratos is certainly not a deep character, and I can't say that much about Revy as until she actually tries to redeem herself I will not even give her a chance.
