Hi guys! Been a while huh? Well, let's change that!I have a whole bunch of new art work to upload so watch out for them haha. I like the Final Fantasy character Aerith a lot, but I never really used her...I prefer Tifa haha. This was a print at Anime Matsuri 2011 if anyone say me there

I love the flowers she is holding, I saw the pic and my eyes immediately snagged to the flowers she is holding. In my opinion I think she should be holding the light yellow or white lilies like in advent children, but the design of the flowers are beautiful none the less. ^^

Heyo! I know how difficult it is to get proper critique around here, so I decided to buckle down and write something worthwhile. (Also, I'm procrastinating homework.) First off this is definitely a fantastic picture and it deserves all the praise it's gotten: the colours really blow me away, particularly the lifestream, which you've rendered phenomenally! 
The biggest issue to me is your anatomy: some people have pointed out things here and there, but nobody seems to have mentioned the face, which is what I noticed first. I'm going to guess you started off with her hair first; it takes up too much of her head, and because of that her other features ended up far too low. 
As we go along there's other little mistakes, too. Her neck shouldn't be so far backwards; unfortunately it's not an easy fix, as it affects the entire positioning of her body. Someone did say 'the legs aren't properly proportioned' but they didn't really do much to help, did they?? 
I think the best thing to do is get a good book full of different poses, and learn how the body looks in real life. Doesn't have to be an actual artist's guide, because those are full of nekkid people 
It looks to me that you've learnt entirely from other manga artists (something I only noticed thanks to this lady , heh); that's not a bad thing, because almost everyone does, but that makes your fundamentals a teensy bit shaky and there's no harm in fortifying your knowledge.
Moving on from anatomy! Colour is a more subjective area, and I do love how it looks already: there's some wonderful contrast between the purplish background and neon-white lifestream, not to mention the shading which is done beautifully too. I'll suggest tinting; it's not a big deal, but if you shade with... a purplish hue, for example (it connects with the purple in the bg and is commonly suggested for yellow light, I believe), you'll get a different effect from what's here. Same goes with an orange hue, and so on! Apologies if this picture actually does have tinting, I can never tell.

Hah thanks! I actually do know true anantoy. I do realistic pictures all the time, but I guess my distortion of anime antaomy needs work. I mainly focus on making faces stand out and less on the body, which I should really work on XD.
Hands, and Lower body are difficult illustrating. D:

I loves Final Fantasy! w00t! Last time I played VII I actually used Aerith til... It was impossible to use her anymore, lol. Very nice picture.
