Never seen those ships look anywhere near that epic before.
I love the use of the stormy feel.

Fantastic work but it's all the small details that really makes it great.

The tie shuttle doesn't have that sensor under it right because I remember only the tie bomber hasa hanging piece of metal under

Hello Roz;
Your artwork here is extremely impressive, but you've misclassified this ship. This is a TIE Bomber. You might remember seeing them in the Empire Strikes Back dropping thermal detonator charges onto the asteroids during the search for the Millennium Falcon, or as a bomber class in the TIE Fighter games. It's a sturdy little craft, but still suffers from lack of shields and has poor maneuverability. Compared to a similar craft, the Y-Wing, the TIE bomber is a weaker fighter craft.
Rendering them like this is most excellent however. you really captured their lines and the style is phenomenal. Congratulations!

Always love TIE bombers, on the account they actually look like they can take some damage as opposed to none at all.

Just curious. How much time total was invested in thus piece from sketches to original? Also, what medium was used? Thanks.

I need to get Photoshop! I have painter 12 which is fun and truly a major upgrade from paint. But it seems most use Photoshop. I didn't know it had a 3d model program. Its out like blender?

Awesome! There's barely any artwork of TIE shuttles online. The only official artwork I can remember is from an early Marvel comic.

It looks really great! It kind of reminds me of Ralph McQuarrie's style, but a bit grittier.

aren't those Bombers, not shuttles?

judging from the models, yes. TIE shuttles and bombers are pretty similar, the major difference is the shuttles don't have the targeting sensor (arm thing on the underbelly), so i'd say this is just the best model he could get.Β

Yeah, I believe there is no underbelly bomb chute for the TIE shuttle.
