The Hogwarts Express is in a museum, but its at least the same viaduct and carriages as the film

Great image. We ( wife and I ) stood on the opposite side of the hill, the clouds came over, the heavens opened up and we got nothing except soaking wet and 2 million midgie bites.

Yep, quite annoying but then they were probably quite lame as they were taken years and years ago on a simple point and shoot film camera. Good excuse to go back oop norf again

Oh, I've been on this train
We went from Fort William to Mallaig and the scenery was breath-taking! We'd a picnic with champagne and strawberries in Mallaig then travelled back on the train to Fort william.

Very welcome
Glad you like it... we were staying at Glencoe, and this day was a 'what do we do today' kinda free day.. a leaflet at the campsite gave us the idea to go to glenfinnan and wait for the train. Probably my favourite day shooting, but would be nice to actually spend a day on the train! Seen a few programs about the trip and its been named the most, or one of the most, beautiful train journeys on the planet.

Talking of Scotland...Just looking through the TV times and noticed Iain Stewarts new series about Scotland on BBC2 at 8pm, for the next 5 Sundays, that might be worth a watch
