Very nice work, though I won't lie, I REALLY did not like how the new series made Pumyra evil, she was the only other adult female thundercat and had so much potential as a character on Lion-O's team, & yet they turn her into an undead evildoer instead of the noble hero she was in the original series....Also doesn't help that she went from being a peace loving field medic to being an angsty gladiator...Considering that the cats were on the run from Mumm-Ra's forces & often outcasts amongst the other animal races, having a thundercat who can fight AND heal injuries would have been much more helpful. The original Pumyra's peaceful nature also could have helped to temper the more fiery tempers of the more violent thundercats...Instead she ends up as the most violent of them all >_<

That would require the show to have writing above the level of Monday Nitro's last two years. But for me that ship sailed long before that reveal, it was more around the time they showed that Thundera was a corrupt and bigoted civilization, that if this was anything other than Thundercats our sympathies would be with the Lizards who wiped them out.

It would've been a stupid idea anyway.
If she was never meant to be redeemed, then what was the point of her story?
Heck, if there went by an episode where they DIDN'T have her listen to logical reason, then it would've been bad writing.
The only way that whole "Turning her into a monster and get killed off" thing would've worked is if she was evil to begin with and only did it for fun, and ALL without the need of a tragic backstory.

Because it's unexpected. Pretty much the whole point of the newer Thundercats show was subverting everything the old cartoon was like. We see Lion-O as a youth who must grow into the role he had thrust upon him, the creatures who serve Mumm-Ra have legitimate reasons to want to see the Thundercats wiped out, the team has issues they must work out, Mumm-Ra is not some buffoonish cartoon villain, Jaga is not the infallible source of wisdom, and Thundera isn't even all that great a place.

I Loved the Idea of pumyra Betraying the thundercats, it made a beautiful storyline and i guess lion-o would have eventually saved her with the spirit stone! I would have loves to have seen her in Red armour, i often wondered if Lynxanna would have appeared in the new show, i sure the fans would have loved to have seen her animated lol?

I seriously doubt she is purposely a villain. Because that would completely destroy the character that we were a fan of, ever since the original series.

I still can't believe that Pumyra's a traitor...when my brother watched the epsiode with me that morning and saw the end he nearly yelled, yes yelled, 'Wait, what? WHAT?!' As for me I was on the edge of the couch when Pumyra revealed she was on the other side. You'd think she'd hand the stone to Lion-O since he's saved her a bunch of times. Look out Pumyra, because REVENGE digs a double grave. Nothing good comes from it. You know I have a question...have you thougt about how the TCATS would look if they were half-fish or MERCATS? XD

Regarding that last bit about "cat-fish" hybrid idea, I have thought about the exact same thing. I even came up with a hybrid OC idea. Let's face it, the only race that I can think of to keep the Soul Stone would be a fish race, but sea-based not freshwater like the fish people seen in this series. Cause the ocean is huge and really difficult to traverse without proper technology, which is why the Tech Stone would be needed so badly. At least for Mumm-Ra, I'm sure the TCats could befriend a "cat-fish" hybrid to gain safe passage to the home of a sea-based fish race.

The art here is fantastic! Are you the guy who has actually been working on the series? If so, what's the official stance on it? I'm seeing all over the internet that it's on hiatus.
I was a bit disapointed with pumyra's betrayal though. I already felt that she'd learn to let things go after Lion-o showed her mercy and that he wouldn't abandon her, and the fact that Mumm-ra attacked and nearly killed her. It just didn't add up. When I saw the episode I expected her to put the tech stone back in so the city would still float, or that she was somehow under Mumm-ra's control.
Still I'm eager to see what happens. One thing I was happy about was the fact that there were other Thundarian survivors. To be honest, I like this version better than the old series.

Well, I used a combo of my broken Wacom tablet at home and the cintiq I use at work. Other than that, it's all Muro.

Great artwork to two great characters. I can't even begin to say how Pumyra turning bad sent me reeling. I hope and pray that we get a second season to Thundercats and maybe even see Pumyra be saved from her hate.
