EDIT: Uploaded a PNG for better quality XcCommission for ijp290 on FA of his character Dave inhabiting a rundown hotel overlooking the bay on her world.
I'm immensely proud of this one atm <3 There's a few things I know I need to practice more to get better on but for as many new things that I tried on this picture I'm IMMENSELY happy XD
Any critique is welcome. I'm trying to get better especially at dramatic lighting ^^

Very beautiful and serene.
I think it could have used a bit more depth, but it's tied together nicely.
That's the thing about art: there's ALWAYS something that can be improved. It's an ever-evolving experience. ^-^

This is just fantastic
Your skills on creating dramatic lighting is already very good. Although of course you can always improve on anything
But really, i really love this pic

<33 thank you! Dramatic lighting is like some of my favorite things to do in a picture. That's one of the main reasons why I prefer to draw night scenes because I can play so much more with the light XD
I tried the fog like you mentioned but it washed out a lot of the bg. So I had to take it off x-x

Yeah I agree, night scenes are better since you can add more dramatic lighting to it, although sometimes you can make awesome lighting effects on a sunset scene as well

This drawing came out great! c8 I love the slight glow of the ocean and the very faint light on the surroundings! Just perfect, if you ask me. =^^= Plus, the vines give the drawing the balance it needs.
