This is beautiful, evocative painting with so many details along every part of the image. The composition is very well done; the river in the center draws my eyes from the foreground all the way to the background, taking in each element along the way. The arches on the right in the foreground as well as the broken pillar on the left evoke a sadness and grief of a past long gone. The colors chosen for this piece are my favorite part; the palette is limited but those bright oranges and yellows give an otherwise melancholy painting a dynamic brightness which to me implies hope of a new dawn in the distance. What a fantastic painting! Great work!

Hello Daniel,

Your artwork is beautiful. I love how you used the golden light against the grey/blue darker areas. Excellent choice of color palette. Excellent use of the light reflection color in the river change as you move from front to back of the image.

The perspective is really nice. The birds in the distance really make the depth of the image pop and look real. Nearly all the mountains peaks point or lead the viewer's eyes toward the center sunlight spot. Excellent use of perspective and warm/cool color contrast to move the viewer around within the artwork.

The two built arches on the right really catch the eye in contrast to the entire rest of the scene. The main broken column on the left side and the fainter broken arches on the left back edge balance the weight of the large mountains on the right side.

There is a lot of expression in the artwork. The broken arches show that at some point in the past there were intelligent people living on this world.

Thank you for sharing your Muse, talent, skills and wondrous artwork with us.

Kindly,

Grant

Hi there,
as I already asked on another of your paintings;
I wanted to know if there is the possibility to use this as a part of a mood board for my studies.
Educational purposes only.
It's hard to find something that fits the mood as much as this one does. If not, I will continue searching, though.
Thank you.

The coloring in this piece is awesome. I am horrible at landscapes personally, they're super hard to draw. At least on perspective and what not, then you have to like... be creative?, haha x3 I guess what I'm trying to say is "You are amazing. Fantastic work!"
