Description aaaaaaw poor carl...

i'm pretty happy with how this came out.

i found this neat line of sketches from the new pixar movie up.

the last image is the one i referenced for this pic.

i was also inspired by the soundtrack (particularly the track "married life").

i really wanted to convey the sadness carl felt with ellie gone.

this was an amazing movie. i just wish i'd seen it in 3-D.

You didn't miss out too much on the 3D, trust me (I saw it 18 times in 3D, 32 times without). Up's an utter masterpiece. Great job with this, especially the coloring. I was trying to go through those sketches to help myself draw Carl better (I still only go from reference,...) but I only got as far as age 14, and age 5 was the only really good one I did.

Love this piece, and the art for the movie is spectacular. Excellent work!
