An Animation I just made of the cloverfield monster roaring. I tried to make the air sacs move with the inbreaths, however, I guess it kinda came out looking like arse compared to some other animations i've seen.Related content

Me too. The cinema I went to see CF in has a really good sound system. Everytime the monster screamed, I felt the ground shaking!

As soon as I get the DVD, I'm gonna put it on my big TV, turn the surround sound up to maximum, wake up the whole town, and send every dog in a 5 mile radius into a barking frenzy.

Actually, I don't think the first roar was ever used in the movie. I think it was just the sound producers at Bad Robot testing out some new material while the team was working on the monster. By the way, you should head over to Cloverfield Clues and check out the video Dennis has posted on the team at Bad Robot and Paramount where they explain their work on the monster. The footage has some pretty neat CG build-up animatics on the monster. It may help point out some comparisons between your deviation and the actual monsters animatics.

I know, I saw it. Really cool. I realise that my animation doesn't look exactly like the monster, but its hard to draw something accurate using a mouse.
