Take an AP course that will give you an elective in your first year of uni. I took AP psych, which meant that I didn't have to take the first two semesters of intro psych, and that I got to take a second year neuroscience course instead

Yep, just try to stay away from the core ones like english or calc. Some graduate schools (like UBC med) like to see that you've taken English in university.
