Well, I guess it's how out of the four, she's the one who is really "out of it".. Ruby is of course travelling with the rest of RNJR, looking for clues and stuff. Weiss is still there, getting to know more about what really happened in Vale and if there was a deeper connection.. Blake is..well, that's kinda like a vacay, but she's still in the game..

But Yang.. out of all of them, she's the one who's really lost. Just waiting there on the cabin, trying to get on aboard, pretend that nothing happened and get back to the action, when in reality... something happened. And what she lost, even if replaced by tech, it will never go back. Permanently.

And so for the rest of their lives, she's gonna be the one who always will remember what transpired, everytime she looks down, there's that evidence. There's the damage.

That, for me, makes her, truly "displaced", not just from herself, but from the world she used to know. She's gonna be stuck there, even if she moves on.. Always on a separate ground from the rest. Always reminded of a failure.

So, that's why I took it literally for her background to be that way, haha.
