Description
The Tigercat the MkI went into service in the Carandian Air Corps a few years before the war , he was armed with 2x12.7mm, 4x7.62mm machines gun, powered by a 1050 hp radial engine and could reach a 400 km/h top speed. The MkI were the first to be engaged into operation during the invasion of South Strelka by the North Strelka and the defense of Blake islands. During these operations the Tigercat MkI shown extremely good agility, handling and good resistance to damage, but suffered from a weak engine and not enough firepower against the Strelkanese P31-A Fighters.
These problems were solved with the MkIIb version thanks to a powerful 1200 hp radial engine and two additional 12.7 guns in his wing plants.
Thanks to these upgrades ,the Tigercat MkIIb demonstrated good combat capability while flown by veteran and rookies pilot throughout his service in the Allied armies and became the workhorse of the Carandian Air Corps and Navy until the commissioning of the new Wildcat MkI Fighter into the army.
