Wow, I haven't drawn this little guy in ages.So, a while ago I dreamed up this odd little race of critters. Never really named the race, just the two main ones I drew, ZuZu and Booger. They're most closely related to rabbits and cats... the fameous Cabbit craze is one of the big reasons I stopped drawing them... got tired of hearing "OMG I luv cabbits but u drew them wrong!!!"
Aaaaaaanyway, they're born with shorter, stumpy ears wiht big puffs of fur on the end, their ears grow longer and heavier as they grow older and/or stronger. So the longer and heavier the ears, the more powerful the critter. Young/weak ones can hold their ears upright, but the stronger and older ones can't. Their color reflects the element they're equated with. ZuZu is air, so he's light blue and white.
They have their own little language, but in some stories I give them the ability to talk 'human' laguage. Dunno, it depends, I shift my chracters around so much. 
So I whipped this little thing up in a few hours. Was fun to draw my little Zuz's again.

I don't know of a Zuzu Jedi, but there are so many spin-off Star Wars books it's hard to tell.

ZuZu, so cute
I love the coloring on this a whole lot. It offsets the simple lineart so well and it all just clicks together quite nicely. The cool colors are quite pretty, as well. And I don't know what these other people think, but I gotta say it looks different enough from a cabbit that, the first time i looked at this, one didn't come to MY mind. XD Very cool.

I love the small detail painted strokes you used in colouring him. It helps in creating the illusion of fur, and nummy texture.
My favorite part is the background. The tiled/screened look is really interesting. I love the reflective surface to it as well.

A cabbit is also a real life creature, nothing to do with anime. They're cats which have elongated back legs (they're born with an extra bone) and this makes them run in a sort of bunny hop style. Invariably, they are manx cats so they have no tail. People used to try and get others to believe they were a hybrid between cats and rabbits, hence the name 'cabbit'.

The colouring is very nice and detailed, but perhaps a little blurry; it creates a lot of contrast with the straight black lineart

You should try breaking out the ol brushes again.
You're getting a lot better with your coloring. But when I hear the word cabbit I think of radishes.
