Description This is how I imagine Barquentine, from Mervin Peakes book 'Gormenghast'.
He is the master of ceremony, the only person that knows all of the untold number of traditions in the ancient kingdom of Gormenghast.
He stalks up and down the dusty and decrepit stone hallways of the castle, with the iron foot of his crutch sending an echoing warning, far before his ancient, crusty, judgemental and just plain unpleasant person makes an appearance.
Terror to small children and adults alike, Barquentine is a hideous old bastard.

Great illustration! You portrayed him as disgusting as I've imagined him to be. I'll feature it in my journal, if you don't mind.
