Description Created by Team Atlantis, the King Poseidon is a large mobile armor designed for underwater combat in the Build Fighters universe. Due to being a mobile armor, it requires three people to pilot it as per tournament rules. Its unsuited for land use, due to its heavy weight and lack of legs. Its large arsenal of beam weapons is powerful, and can quickly drain the unit's Plavsky Particle supply if not used carefully. Can hide underwater more easily then you'd think with its size.

The team's main battle strategy is to camouflage itself underwater and stealthily pick off enemies one by one with the funnels and INCOMs. However, if this tactic fails, the King Poseidon is tough enough to usually take enemies down through overwhelming brute force.

Armament:

Scatter Beam Cannons x3 - These weapons fire 8 small beams at once. One is found on the torso, and two more are located on the waist.

Head Vulcans x4 - located on the head, primarily used to shoot down missiles and torpedoes.

Tentacle Claws - Only melee weapon of the unit, acting as the mobile armor's arms and "legs". Primarily used to hold enemies in places while the funnels and beam guns shred them, but can easily be used to crush a standard 1/144 scale Gunpla.

-Torpedo Tubes - Each of the three lower tentacles can fire torpedos out of the tubes in the center of the claws, with 4 torpedoes stored in each tentacle. This option can only function underwater.

-Claw INCOMs - The claws on the arms can be used as wire-guided INCOMS, similar to those utilized by the Rozen Zulu. Each claw is mounted with a triple-barreled beam cannon. Each INCOM has five relay INCOMS in order to change direction during use.

Shoulder funnels - Each shoulder carries 13 funnels that each contain a particle storage tank for extended operational time. Can also be used as shoulder mounted beam guns.

Clear funnels - Similarly to the Qubeley Papillon, the King Poseidon carries twelve clear funnels, hidden in the skirt armor.

High Mega Beam Cannon - The strongest weapon on the mobile armor. This cannon fires a massive beam that can potentially obliterate a gunpla in one shot. Cannot be fired in quick succession, due to a heavy cooldown period. Used as a last resort due to immense power consumption.

Detachable Body Bits - Similarly to the Great Zeong, the King Poseidon can separate into three components: the head unit, the Leviathan (upper body), and the Kraken (Lower body). Each of these components is independently controlled by one of the three pilots.

EDIT 10/21/17: Changed the wires on the INCOMs to a more appropriate design.

It makes a cameo in the first opening of my fanfic. Here's the link:  www.fanfiction.net/s/12316816/… .
What do you think?

For just a cameo so far, I think it's not bad. Just the little snippet you've shown of it has a lot of thoughts and questions going through my head.

1)"Kraken" would actually be a better name for it in the story than "King Poseidon", as it does sound more like a Cosmic-Era style name.

2)I never actually thought about giving the Mobile Armor a Positron Reflector shield. With its thick armor and the fact that CE beam weapons don't work very well under water, I never thought it would need the extra protection. But, I also never considered it having to deal with a Lohengrin shot either so ... *shrugs*

3)Having the MA"s head-mounted cannon be a positron cannon/Lohengrin is a pretty good idea. It IS meant to be the unit's strongest weapon for a reason.

4)If the Kraken has a prototype of the positron reflector shield, could the wire-controlled weapons be considered a predecessor to the DRAGOON system? Wait, I forgot wire-guided weapons were already a thing with the Moebius Zero.

Overall, I'm pretty intrigued by what you've done so far. Are you still working on the story?

Can it serve as a troop transport? Is it possible to equip it with a drill in order for troops to board ships?

Well, the claws on the lower tentacles could theoretically be used like drills if spun while closed, but the King Poseidon wasn't meant to be a troop transport. Its main purpose was to drag enemies below the water's surface, and mercilessly cut them to pieces. Sorry.

I did upload a variant that I think fits the Cosmic Era a little better if you want to look at it. It mostly replaced the funnels with wire-guide weapons and heat tendrils.

I'm sorry if it doesn't quite fit the role you wanted to use it for.

Don't worry I'll think of something else for troop transport, but this is still a fine unit.

Okay, then.

That thing looks cool. You know I was thinking of a mobile armor based on an octopus and the Trident-Class from Star Wars in my Gundam SEED fanfic and your's fit the bill. May I use it? It's going to play a major role in the story line.

Sure, just remember to credit me for the design. Although, it may need some tweaking to fit in the SEED universe, as the King Poseidon uses funnels, not DRAGOONs.
