Navaruh's Pegasus travel from the oasis on the mountain ranges where they live to the canyons on the south in order to give birth and raise their offprings. The nice temperature and the lack of predators makes the canyons the most appropiate place to raise pegasus foals.
They don't live in herds as most of equine breeds on Navaruh, instead they have a monogamous partner and some of them stay together during all their life and others only meet for the breeding season. Both mare and stallion participate on the raising of the foal, and when the foal is strong enough to fly by his own, the family group travels back to the mountain ranges where the food is more abundant.
The journey back to the mountains is very hard for the new flyers and many perish. The ones who survive spend a few years on small social groups until they meet a partner and leave to the canyons for the breeding season.
I finally finished this! Took me forever, and I tried to reduce the use of digital generted textures and try to paint by hand most of the picture. This guy is my Navaruh's Pegasus character named Golden Swallow (not his real name, but everybody knows him for this) who travels around Navaruh telling stories about the bravest mares and stallions that he met on his journey. He is Darion's closest friend. In this picture he was a foal, but his adventurous spirit is already on him.
and this Navaruh thing is a big concept that I'm still developing
I opened critics because I spent a lot of time on this picture, and I'd like to know what I did wrong(it looks kinda flat, doesn't io?) in order to avoid doing the same when I spend this huge amount of time again on an illustration.Find Me!

Hey Georgina!
I gotta say, this piece looks awesome! I really love the scenery and the colors that you used. The Pegasus really sticks out with its warm hues, and I absolutely love the crow and the detail you put on its wings. There's not much to really critique here, besides with the impact of the piece. To me, it seems kind of flat. Mainly due to the crow and Pegasus not having a clear size difference with the perspective. Also, with the intense blue in the background and middle ground pushing the piece back, try adding some warmer tints of black in the crow and in the shadows to let your subjects pop out. This blue really does make the background effective in adding depth to this piece though, so it's not all that bad. Perhaps in other pieces, you could work on pushing and playing with the foreground more. For example, break the space between the outcropping rocks that the crow and the Pegasus are associated with. Some more shrubs might help with that, along with the mentioned color stuff. And yeah!

BUENO!!!!! BASTA!!! Me senté como tres o cuatro veces en varias semanas para comentar y nunca lo hago (perdón si no menciono las partes artísticas, Geor, pero me siento super cómoda hablando de la historia que aquí nos estás contando 
Bueno Golden Swallow, desde ya amo su seudónimo, parece un personaje de esos populares entre la sociedad de los equinos, y ese lugar Navaruh, sería como una ciudad?
Este pequeño, que ya no debe ser pequeño XD obtuvo gran parte de mi corazón, y es que le metes tanto entusiasmo a tus historias que uno se queda pegado a la pantalla queriendo saber más. Me encantó que lo encadenaste con la historia de Darion y Nevisca, un chico nuevo que se suma, que más se puede pedir??? ;v; UN COMIC!!!! *Geor bloquea a Zoba de por vida* XDDDD
Como amo ese color que ya le da su nombre, dorado, y con esas alas tan preciosas cubiertas de nieve 
Precioso y tierno trabajo, de verdad me encanta como dibujas a los potros, así más de peques, les da ese aspecto tan inocente que te dan ganas de abrazarlo <3
Más de este chico, plis, que ya lo amo, y voy a entrar en debate sobre mi personajes favorito de estos tres, ya tenemos a la yegua con poderes ocultas, al bicornio... y ahora al PEGASOOOOOOO, te juro que pensé que no los querías demasiado, menos hacer un personaje con ellos. De verdad una pintura épica con ese fondo tan impresionante, que no sólo apreciamos por el fantástico arte, sino por lo que también cuenta.

Navaruh sería mas como un continente donde los humanos todavia no llegaron (un setting medieval fantasioso ponele, solo pueden llegar por barco) entonces como que la 'magia' se mantiene intacta. Y la ref está en proceso jajaja lo prometo!! Es verdad, no me copan mucho los pegasos porque están como muy quemados y son como muy mainstream, pero justamente por eso encaja con el personaje que tenia en mente jaja además la idea era que sea fachero y pueda viajar mas rapido que los demas, no tenia muchas opciones

Oh wow the painting in this piece looks amazing! 
I love the colour contrast, it really helps adding depth to the background. In the foreground I think it would have helped to have the raven more in the light. He kind of fades into the background now.
But other than that it looks beautiful <3

You handled the lighting beautifully in this new piece! I love how you made the choice to cast the most light onto Golden Swallow, along with using the bright blues in his cast shadows. Good on you to limit your texture use as well! You carved out the scene and drew the textures gorgeously~ I can't take my eyes off those fluffy wings as well!
