I've been trying for several weeks to take a shot of this jumping spider species that's in my yard and this frame is the best that I've managed to capture so far. Extremely skittish, even when it's feeding on another critter, and it never pauses for very long. Right after I took this shot it jumped onto my lens and I had to coax it onto my finger so I could put it back on the Sage plant it was hunting on. There isn't any pollen on that Sage, so no idea where it came from. Every time I see a spider with pollen on it I think it's carrying bait...

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 3x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT with a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe on the "A" head (the key), E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Denoise AI and Clarity in that order. There was no significant light source in the background and nothing close by to bounce the flash off of so the background came out black.
