This took me so long 0.0 This must be the most detailed background I ever made. It was a lot of fun too, colouring all those trees.Anyway, my *Mythconduct for this month. I was assigned to do the pretty barn owl (I forgot how much I love owls) character that belongs to *Windspeaker-wolf , called: Eclipse Moonsong.
I tried my best on this, because I still owe her something. Therefor I'm also willing to ship the original (A3 high quality paper) to her! Alongside her bookmark
I hope you like it, Windspeaker-wolf; I tried my best to treat your fursona with care, as she must mean a lot to youColoured pencils+markers, around 25-30 hours
ps Looks better in real life, it was too big to fit the scanner so I had to make a photograph.

I really need a good photograph of this, the reflection is bothering me.
I got so frustrated with the treetops in the end, I'm glad I didn't rush them.
Seeing this finished was pretty satisfying, I can't wait to do another piece as big as this one. I'm in the mood for something dark and freaky (like Pan's Labyrinth).

I've been really wanting to do a large piece lately too, but I've been lacking the inspiration and time. Hopefully I'll have more time after my trip.
I've been yearning to do a realism attempt of some critter with watercolours! It'll be a challenge but oh, do I ever love challenges. <3

I feel so obliged *I guess, not entirely sure anymore what that means, but it sounds right 
I think it's your best work so far, and I know you're still trying to understand how good it is, HAHA, so I'm telling you again. I love the flying owls, the detail on the character, the colours, the barn owls look really like barn owls *I've been browsing through a little bird book*, ofcourse the amazing atmospheric perspective, different leaf colours for every kind of tree, the light and dark spots in the forest, the shapes of the trees, they just look a bit random, like real trees, not with standard shapes that only a couple of 'perfect' trees have. HAHA I feel like I'm talking about supermodels in the treeworld xD
