A Malinois! I love the breed - so beautiful and athletic. Definitely not common though as far as pet ownership in my area goes. I enjoyed seeing himDog-A-Thon 2008

Yeah we've got Shutzhund here in the US too but it's not quite as common. Typically the people doing it either have a reason (beyond sport) or have been doing it for a long time. It's a interesting sport to watch though...makes for some really athletic dogs.

yeah, i love the sport ! i'm not that old though ... but the youngsters here are getting less every year.. cause well, it's hard work training a dog to work that well... and if your parents donΒ΄t help you or are not there for you it is very hard.. but eventhough- i made it

They are incredible animals. Ours can be a little unruly but they're very young. Wonderful photo.

He's gorgeous! My boyfriend is stationed in Iraq near Al Asad AB. There's a kennel there full of Malinois's. He gets to see them frequently. Such intelligent dogs!

I'm hoping he'll get some live photos soon. They have to be so careful photographing and posting images from a war zone - even the dogs.
I have been invited by a K-9 cop friend of mine (who also trains police dogs) to come photograph police dogs in competition - including many Malinois. Hopefully in the next few months I'll have some good pics to post.
