Description I'm glad to present you my new doll repaint! Ready for Christmas:
Rapunzel! This was the first time I've repainted a Rapunzel Doll
This Rapunzel is the Disney Store 17' singing Rapunzel doll.
She sings the healing song, which doesn't fit with her Hair wich Rapunzel wears when she sings the duet with Flynn (Eugene)"I see the light".
But that doesn't bother me.
I removed her factory paint using pure acetone.
The repaint was made using fine brushes, high quality artist acrylic paints and soft pastels for blushing and shading.
Her chin was filed shorter using an electric file (more Information below).
Everything was sealed.
I added false lashes.
To the filed chin (and the repaint):
While i was repainting Rapunzel, i noticed that her chin is extremly long.
The comparision pictures i had from the movie have proven that.
I tried to file her chin with regular sand paper, but the result wasn't that satisfying.
I bought an exelent electric file which came pretty fast so i could finish her before Christmas.
I made before and after Pictures were the chin wasn't that visibly changed,
but in real-life and for me, the difference was huge!
Rapunzel was very difficult to do, especially eyes, lips and how to pose the eyebrows.
She was very exhausting for me, but totally worth it
I really wanted to make sure her eyes (and her face complete) looked like in the movie.

I hope you like her as much as i do

For more Pictures of her, please visit my Tumblr page:

Before and after Picture coming soon!

Note: I added the little peak that she has on her hairline exactly where the parting of her hair is and I also fixed her bangs slightly, after i took the photos.

she is beautiful but why did Disney have to put that tinsel in her hair?

Thank you very much! I don't know I don't usually like the tinsels in Disney dolls hair but i think it looks good on Rapunzel with her magical hair.

yes, but don't they do it on the other characters as well?

No, not always. The limited edition dolls from last year (like Anna & Elsa) had tinsels & oily looking, shiny skin. The newest dolls and LE's don't have them anymore.

so the LE dolls from last year were of lower quality, or just different?

Different, but the Quality was the same, but it was a nightmare to take the shiny skin-layer of.

Beautiful job!  Definitely a major improvement over the original.

The funny thing about Rapunzel is that I just love her as a brunette with the short hair.   When I saw Tangled and saw that scene when she got her hair cut off and then I got a good look at her I was like...WOW!

Granted Rapunzel is beautiful either way, but I do have a thing for brunettes so that is probably why I prefer her that way.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Thank you very much! So happy you like her
I like Rapunzel both ways, but it is incredibly diffucult to find a brunette Rapunzel (dolls & Merchandise)  since Disney has better marketing Chances & sales for merchandise (and other stuff) when they put Rapunzel with long, blonde hair on the products or made as a doll like that
(which, i'm sure, has to do with the original fairytale, where Rapunzel never really cuts her hair, neither it changes color when it's cut (since Disneys version's granted by the flower) and Rapunzel is known for her long hair, which she doesn't have anymore).
The new Tangled Show for 2017 has Rapunzel with long blond hair again.
Funny, Flynn said that phrase too

Also, Happy Holidays

Oh yes, very much so.

Hard to find Brunette Rapunzel?  They had them at the Disney Store.  Granted they DID have more of blonde Punzi.

Oh yeah Flynn and I have that in common.   My line is that I have a weakness for brunettes with horns.  This gorgeous woman tops my list:

Yes, I am very much in love with Maleficent.  So much so I married her:

Of course when she found a cellphone...she took a selfie:

Thank you.  Thats a cosplay I did for my wife for Halloween in 2014.   I became so enamoured with Maleficent that I wanted to make my wife up as her.   Given that my wife doesn't look anything like Angelina Jolie, I came up with an inspired design based on what Maleficent was wearing at the end of the movie.:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ttcht…

I worked from there as I wanted that kind of look.   In the end, I was amazed at how well her costume came out and she looks absolutely gorgeous.  This is actually the most beautiful I have seen my wife.  When I first saw her in that costume, I was complete mush.   Yeah, it was a huge "Wow!" moment.  Even my wife said that was the most beautiful she ever felt.   I do have have many more pictures up of her on my page under 'cosplays' in my gallery in case you want to check them out.

Rave.

Thank you sooo much! I didn't made her hair like that (besides the bangs with hairspray). She had these electronic flowers and accessoires already braided in her hair.
The flowers light up when you put the latern on her Hand.
