Seriously speaking, I do not believe at all that the appearance of a character defines its intentions necessarily. Rather, I would talk about personality. In short, no, I do not believe that the world, not even that of fantasy, is divided between good and bad, these are mostly common places or narrative expedients, if one wants to use them without too much effort.
