Thank you very much!

To be honest ... I only know the Voyager version of her. Is there another one? (are you referring to STO perhaps?)

Oh, now I get it! Sorry I did misunderstand. Yeah, have a look at the other series! It's worth it. I especially love DS9 and ENTERPRISE (which I also only watched for the first time last year)

No problem I think I want to start with enterprise. But there are just so many options xdΒ

I try to draw as many different ST portraits as possible in acknowledgement of the 50th anniversary of the franchise.

I think the background fits an ex-borg drone well enough.
Amazing job with her hair, implant and the skin colouration!

It's sufficient and efficient. So it's definitely Borg.

Fantastic work, especially on her cranial implant!Β

The implant was fun to draw. I'm sometimes amazed at how few strokes are necessary to get something right.

One of the hardest things about drawing is knowing when to stop. I am still struggling with that. You've got it down though. Β

I'm trying to learn that at the moment by doing speed paintings (1.5 - 2 hours), so I have to concentrate on the necessary strokes.

That's the "disadvantage" with digital painting - there is no end of correcting the corrections. The medium forgives everything.

The skin tone and texture are very great. Like we can feel the touch of her skin. I like how you painted the white of her eyes too. Looks... organic, alive
And that background effect looks interesting.

The thing with the white of the eye was one of the most surprising outcomes for me since I use the drop tool to pick colours. I mean, I know that there is never a pure white in painting portraits, so I would have picked some off-white in the direction of gray for that part of the eye. Yet what the drop tool offers me sometimes is a nearly dark brown tone (not in this painting, but in others) that I never would have chosen. And interestingly enough it really works. I'm learning so much about colours at the moment just by observing the drop tool.

The background ... well ... yes ... the background is ... well ... I HATE backgrounds! I have no eye for them, no fantasy and definitely no idea. This one was done with a coarse spray airbrush - only because I used it on Seven's clothes to get a bit of the texture done - so I just went on with it into the background. But I don't really like the outcome. I have to find myself a tutorial "Background for dummies" .

One of the few times I didn't forget the ear - I don't know why but it's always the ears that I leave out when starting on the facial details.
