What do you mean, are you talking about the 3 different shaded colors in the BG? If so, yeah it adds a nice touch and is really easy to do.

I think that's awesome.

Anyway, I think that this may be the best shading you ever did. Pinkie's mane is simply gorgeous here.

I wasn't expecting a background so dark though. A bright background could fit her better, in my opinion.

Yeah I couldn't really get a good pink/purple that was bright and didn't clash with her mane and coat colors.

The artist prefers dark and scary.

Try sky blue or yellow : these colors works good on her.
Green can works too, but not as much as the two others colors ... or it's just because I hate green.
