These look amazing! I'm jealous of how clean they are and how nice all of the colorschemes look. And they're all so cute I want to squeeze them all!
Tbh along with looking at the other character's colors, I'd also take into consideration the background that it is mainly against?? Primarily if it is Light or Dark.
I'd probably go with the far right one if you're going for a mainly dark background? On the dark blue background it stands out and the pattern causes it to be visually appealing.
The second one that stands out the most is the one just to the left of that, except that its hands+feet seem to vanish with the background.
The third one that stands out the most is the other grey one on the left, however it isn't as visually appealing, personally, due to its simpler patterns. (However, due to the fact this is for an animation that might be a good idea)
The others I'd reserve depending on the color of the other character, or if the general background of the animation is considerably lighter. ouo;

You make an entirely valid point I hadn't stopped to think about (but probably should have!) The animation is technically pretty dark in shades since it's meant to take place at night. I haven't finished the storyboard since the pre-production is my work for this term. If I go with my initial idea... the animation should take place at a forest at night, or meadow or something, so yeah, you're absolutely right; perhaps the far right one would be best.
I'll have a word with my prof today but... people are consistently attracted to the one in the far right, amusingly enough so hey, that probably counts for something!
