12.06... So I will be spending my birthday at EuroDisneyLand. I'm mega-happy! ;D To celebrate the occasion, here are the Disney Princesses:SnowWhite, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora and Ariel.

I tried my best to portray them faithfully. ;]

I didn't include many famous DA artists there, I'm not here to point out fingers. It's just that I always thought -- style equals a characteristic face & proportions by which you can immediately recognise the artist... but maybe not. ;]

Your snow white is stunning! Facial wise you captured the essence of the character! The others are well done to, you rock at skin tones! I love you art style though something about Belle's expression is a bit disconcerting. It's not bad but she feels less like a heroineΒ and more like a villain who has yet to be revealed as one if that makes sense. Ariel is just adorable and Jasmine is fierce, my eyes do love you background very much so as well. Overall a very enchanting piece.Β

I love how Odette and Mulan are rarely ever included alongside the classical Disney princesses. I guess they're one of the more "lesser" princess stories.

Odette isn't Disney though and they did a part two with the rest of the princesses and put Odette with the non Disney one they did

To be honest, Odette I could go without (even if she does fit into the picture, being a very "classical" princess). But I'm kinda sad to never hear of Kida, Eilonwy and Megara (whom, whilst in the Disney universe we hear nothing of her heritage, was a Princess of Thebes in the Greek Mythology). They're some of the most strong, sassy ladies, and for me is on pair with Mulan and Jasmine in ass-kicking abilities.Β

The thing is that not everybody cares about "sassy" or "tomboyish" characters,me included. A princess,like everybody,doesn't have to kick ass in order to be a good character.
