- Drawing Ice is fun, but incredibly hard. This still doesn't look like Ice.

1) Kakav lineart, ja preskocim tu fazu. To je samo za strip korisno...Savetujem i tebi da krenes da izbegavas sem ako neces strip raditi
eve bolji primer, posto sam za ovde uploadovao skicu >
2) skica layer bude negde na sredini. U pocetku bude iznad dok postavim sve boje i povrsine i popravim kompoziciju, onda bude negde u sredini, posto ja preko toga idem sa jacim brushevima i pokrijem i progresivno brisem skicu u layeru ispod i polako guram layer sa skicom sve dole i dole, na kraju potpuno izbacim/izbrisem skicu.
2½) Naravno, ovo sve vazi samo ako krecem od skice poput one navedene gore. U zadnje vreme izbegavam to da radim i vise se fokusiram da sve odjednom resim povrsinama (tipa kako vecina concept artista sastavlja/krece od fleke/thumbnaila).

ovo je stvarno pomoglo, mislim.. ja nikada ne bih mogla da radim bez skice jer ja i boje smo totalno levi pojmovi sem ako nije crno/belo.. ali prooooobacu da mi lineart nije u prvom planu... u . u

ne lineart u planu nego probaj malo experimentises tako sto ces ga POTPUNO izbaciti. Gledaj da su ti linije proizvod/posledica spoja 2 povrsine razlicite boje/valera a ne da roknes liniju pa tek onda udaras povrsine. Izadji iz zone konforta, mnogo se isplati

sve je to lepo i zahvalna sam, ali pricas osobi koja je krenula od crtanja starih stripova tipa Bodesti Blejz i da radi sa tusem i perom i nemam pojma dauklapam boje, samo sto mi je zelja da nacum taj realistic/paintig still e - e

Yeah, hopefully someday I can get a decent photoshop or sai program & a tablet so I could do that xD

Actually, you don't need a decent photoshop. This is made by basic tools (brush,eraser and layers) and I do it on a 5o$ tablet. Also you can practice that stuff with pencil. If you sync well, there should be no difference between your traditional and digital works.

Oh, cool! I've never tried a tablet, so I'm a little scared to get one. I want to see if I can try one out at BestBuy or a place like that, and see if I like it or could use it for coloring my sketches. I love doing traditional hand drawn works, so I'd probably only use a tablet for doing digital coloring. I've still got a lot of research to do on tablets vs. traditional media & see which I want to do

There is no digital vs traditional. Only difference should be that traditional has original artwork, while digital has not. That should be the only difference.
Both are good and both are fun. You can mimic traditional techniques digitally and you can also mimic digital techniques traditionally. Everything between the two should be erased so when you can be more flexible as an artist.

GOB DANGIT. I was almost done commenting on this and then I accidently clicked something and now I have to start over!!!!
I think it looks like ice. The bottom ice crystals especially are convincing to me, but the ones circling Ethan look a little flat to me. Sure, maybe they do look like crystals, but ice crystals are just that, crystals. I think the overall atmoshpere is wintery enough to be convincing. Especially the snow and mist. The detail on Ethan himself is handsomely done. Sword is wonderfully sharp.

Dobro je uradjeno dosta , ima par stvari koje se mogu promeniti koje sam uocio .
Drska maca prema zadnjem delu malo izgleda velika ( nemam pojma kako treba da izgleda mac ) ali to uopste nije problem posto izgleda ok , na kraju svetli ono mislim da treba vise osvetljenja na te delove na drsci.
Led se prepoznaje po svemu sto se desava u slici tako da uopste nije lose i samo lepo izgleda kako jeste , onim iza njega treba vise sjaja na delova odakle dolazi svetlo mislim da bi tako vise izrazilo to i bolje bi izgledalo , ovaj led ispred njega treba vise nekako da odudara od njega i pozadine sto nije led vise osvetlenja oko krajnih linija leda.
Na ledu se nece videti on skroz kao kroz staklo nego ce slike biti nekako na svakoj strani , kao da si kako se sad vidi podelio na dva dela i malo zakrivio na svaku stranu leda (naravno zavisi odakle gledas na njega isto).
Valjda sam ti nekako pomogao sa feedbackom
