Hey thats Mandelbrotvannia. I tried to find it once... and couldnt. I bet a map would have helped! Very cool.

This is the most fantastic and unique fractal work I've ever seen, both of color choice and concept. Making it a map is just brilliant. Well deserved DD.

Wow, that's one of the coolest fractals I've seen in awhile.
I love how you managed to get it to look like an old parchment map, yet still made it have a good shine. The names for the regions are quite nice, too.
Keep up the good work, and congratulations on the Daily Deviation!

hmm, nice map. but its fractal nature slightly... dominates the map character. awesome work though.

Thankyou everyone for your comments it took 3 different Ultra fractal files with 7 - 12 layers in them each, 3 different BringItIn textures and all composed together in Photoshop... so it was a bit of a task, my only regret is that i didn't make it at higher resolution...

All your words make it all worth while

This is a very intriguing idea, Daniel, and I like the look of it very much! You also chose a nice font and I love the Spanish names. Do you speak Spanish or did you have to look them up? Have you thought of making the edges of the image look burnt to underline the anient look? Just an idea...I also would love to see more fractal struture in the 'South'.
There is no Gaussian blur in UF, but what prevents you from using it within Photoshop?

Thankyou

I cheated a little bit and used altavista babel-fish translator for the names I would have liked to have more time on this one, but it ran out... i may re-visit it again one day. I just thought it may be useful to have a blur function to use with masks etc...

Thanks for the comments
