Description
Craven is a shadow demon, a being of evil, that lurks in shadows and toys with the fate of mankind. He is loosely based upon the character Julian from The Forbidden Game trilogy, said to be heartbreakingly beautiful with lashes so heavy they seem to weigh down his eyelids and an expression that is both menacing and hungry, like a tiger about to pounce on their prey with cruel, sardonic eyes and a smirk upon their lips.
Ancient shadow men are said to sit around and finger old bones in the darkness, plotting their next move. The Shadow Men had been called different things in different ages...vampires, ghouls, demons, boogeymen, etc...They granted favors-sometimes. They always asked for something in return, usually more than you could afford. They liked games, riddles, any kind of play. But they were unreliable-whimsical. They balanced any good they did with capricious evil. They preyed on humans. This one has fallen in love with a human girl, the light to his darkness, much like Hades and Persephone and fights to overcome his malicious nature to win her heart, a challenge since he can't truly comprehend what love is.
She describes him as such, "If Darkness had taken on a face and a voice, if the powers of night had gathered themselves together and formed themselves into a human being, they would have made something like this."
