Gawd his ending in CC made me bawwwwwwwwwwwwww for so long. Why did he have to die ; ____ ; I choose Zack over Cloud anyday. >3 All those flicks of white stuff are supposed to be flower petals...I thought of taking them out thinking they might make this image too fruity, but Zack is manly enough to handle it methinks.I'm rather proud of the fact that I did this in the span of 3 days, having just returned from AX, while working full time and preparing for Otakon. Some parts are def rougher and could use a touching up~

The composition of this pieces works. I feel like my eyes go straight to Zack and then I see everything else. And the technique used is also very effective. However, I feel like Zack's facial expression could be either more realistic, or convey a more convincing expression. When painting a character, you have to take into consideration of the acting as well as all the other foundational rules. Overall though, you've painted a beautiful and dynamic image of Zack. Great job, keep up the good work. Your skills far surpass my own. I also love the cool colors compared to his warm skin.

I definetely like how Zach is off to the side and it shows a calmness behind him, which you really don't see in his character. The hair you captured really well in its individ flowly grav defianceness. The only thing that I can really see is the head is tilted a little too far forward against the angle of his chest and back. Like his chin would be like a half foot away from his chest >_< sorry, dont hate >_<

Hehe yes, I really must fix that damn head. That angle was a nightmare to paint, I think I just gave up halfway through on trying to make it look proper. =_=

Hey, its still leagues better than what I can crank out right now >_<; I gotta ask though, do you have any tips for picking up coloring? I just don't see the flow to it. I have painter and photoshop for all the touch ups and outlining, but digital coloring makes my brain go cross-eyed and take a nap. lol.
Still though, mega props for the Zack. He could have solo'd Ruby Weapon in FF7 no problem

Tips for coloring..hmm...to be quite honest I really struggle with the coloring in my work. I'm not very used to digitally picking colors myself. My only tip is to do a lot of observation, really look and study objects and observe how their color behave in light. And ask yourself if the color you see is really the color you think it is, because I find myself most oftentimes misjudging the real color of things. And also, color and light go hand in hand, contrast is just as important as having the right color, so it's a good idea to check your picture in grayscale from time to time to make sure things are "popping" out and their silhouettes prominent.

Ugh I know what you mean! Zack has everything he looks like Sasuke but with a wayyy better personality! I'd pick Zack over Cloud too :/ I wish Zack didn't have to die he was just all around awesome and just amazing! awesome pic your a great drawer!!!! It's beautiful but yet manly.
