*** Please full view or you miss all the detail ***Well this is a kind of revist to the one I did called Impact, as I wasnt that happy with the asteroids or the planet exploding.
I took out all the old asteroids and thought hmm how else can we blow up a planet... I know lets melt it with a giant laser from a um... death star??
Hope people are enjoying these as much as I am making them

hehe, Don't het me wrong, I was like: OMFG! he made a full fleet orbiting an awesome planet, I cliked it, and the awesome planet was still there, although my fleet banished. Both rock, the first one was like your experimental facet, the second one: The master piece.

I somehow get linked with an episode from Star Trek: Enterprise. The episode 'Twilight' (The 8th episode of the 3rd Season) begins with a battle, and all of a sudden the Xindi Superweapon appears and fires a similar laser-like thing on Earth. The Earth then begins to creak all over, and you'll see the lava etc. spouting from the creacks, before the Earth explodes. I believe that very scene is on YouTube.

Wow your right lol ! Im one of those Star Wars over Star Trek people so never seen that, but just went and checked it out and your right haha! What an awesome scene, guess Trek has changed some since I watched it last !

I like this better than the other one. The lava/light is brilliant - because of the huge contrast you put in. I love the shattering rocks in the top right corner. Again, you can make the impact more..er impactful? A bit of dust/rock flying off would be an extra bonus.
I reckon you're getting better at this! Good job.

Cool! I think this one is a great improvement from impact. The asteroids look better, and in this one the destruction actually seems to be spreading from the point where the beam hits the surface.
The sky in the background is beautiful, I really like the soft brown and purple colors.

You should add some glow to where the meteors intersect the beam, sort of like 'bloom' in video games, to give the beam a better sense of brightness.
I also suggest you should make the lava on the planet less big and blobby, and more sort of like a spiderweb the further it gets from the point of impact.
Other than that, it's pretty epic
