History: Zykia first realised what her family was a little different to the norm when she discovered a gun under her Dad’s bed when she was seven. Of course she’d always thought it was strange that her dad worked in a shop but disappeared in the middle of the night, appearing the next morning with a bruise or looking strangely ruffled appearance. It wasn’t until she turned ten it was discussed with her, though; things were getting rough, and he knew that it could put her into danger. So he sat her down, explained that they were a part of a family, a big one, one that would protect her, no matter the consequences, or the ethics. It was all about family, and secrets, and nothing was more important than that.
Her father’s talk inspired her; she knew that he was important and helped the family, and she wanted to do the same. Obviously she didn’t understand what her father really did as a Mafia don - she was far too young for that. All she needed was to make some money like him. It took her a while to come up with something, and it wasn’t until she hit high school that she had an idea, based on a book she’d read. She’d start her own gambling pool, taint the odds in her favour, and make it seem like a game to hide her intentions, all in her own school. It worked; she made a deal with the janitor to use the school’s basement as a base, and using skills she’d learnt from her father she roped people in, swindled them, and made it out entirely unscathed, with their lunch money and more. She's kept it from her family ever since, but plans to tell them when she’s made enough to make them proud.
Personality: Combining a naturally quick mind with superpowers and a criminal family usually results in a proud person with a clouded sense of morality and strong sense of loyalty. To those who don’t know her, she appears friendly and polite: this melts away when you get to know her, or get on her bad side. Pride is definitely one of Zykia’s main traits, but she is also very cautious and tends to think before she acts. She refuses to admit defeat, which often leads her into taking on just about any competition she believes she can win - or has been prodded about enough times to cast all caution aside. This attitude has got her into difficult situations before, but on-the-spot thinking and a silver tongue have gotten her out of trouble mostly unscathed. In cases where it doesn’t, her powers allow her to make a quick escape.
Likes:
Challenges - She loves any opportunity to stretch herself and test boundaries, particularly thinking of creative ways of getting out of trouble in the knowledge that she’s got her parents to fall back on.
Showing off - Despite any attempts to hide it, she loves having the opportunity to show off what she can do and she laps up the praise in her stride.
Mathematics + logic puzzles - Although she mostly hates to admit it to keep up her ‘cool’ (or so she believes) reputation, she actively enjoys stretching the logical side of her brain and is naturally good at calculating the odds to ensure they’re always in her favour.
Sweet foods - A not-so-guilty pleasure of hers is sweets, she’s very unlikely to turn down something sugary.
Dislikes:
Being wrong - she’ll fight long and hard to prove herself right; even if she realises half way through the argument that she was actually wrong she’ll fight her corner until the opponent admits defeat.
Losing - As with being wrong, she absolutely cannot lose and on the off chance she’s pushed into doing something she can’t/didn’t win she’ll probably throw a tantrum.
Cocky people - despite being rather overconfident herself, she’s quick to butt heads with other boastful people.
Following orders - Ziggy does what she wants when she wants, which means that she doesn’t react well to being bossed around. She’s often too proud to do what she was going to do anyway if someone tells her to do it.

Abilities:
Can fire orbs of light out of her hands, smaller ones can be fired off rapidly like bullets while more damaging ones take longer to charge.
She can create barriers in midair out of ‘solid light’ which can be used as shields or stepping stones in midair for mobility.
Can bend light in her close proximity to make her and/or another close object/person invisible, this takes a lot of energy and tends to work best in brightly lit areas.
Has limited illusory abilities, enough to change her own appearance or the appearance of something nearby.
Is powered by light, so if she doesn’t have access to any and runs out she can’t use her powers any more and often becomes disorientated.
Slowly regenerates in sunlight passively, but can also stop and absorb light far more quickly; but she can’t do anything else while charging and it’s very noticeable due to her giving off a bright glow from where she’s absorbing light from, generally her hands. Light from anything other than the sun isn’t nearly as potent and she needs much more of it to be able to use her powers effectively.
Absorbing light also heals minor scrapes, but any large wounds aren’t affected and still need medical attention.

So I'm going to be attempting to enter WalkingCityOCT ! I've been working on this app for a pretty long time, so I'm just hoping everything's in order and nothing's missing! It's also the first time I've made a ref sheet without a base, so excuse me if anything's a bit wonky, haha.
