I never thought that a Teen Titans episode would turn into a jaw dropper, but this one did. Birthmark revealed so many more things about Raven and her father Trigon that I had ever realized.

yea, Raven. Nice! But are you sure the markings are correct? I agree with you though, best epp ever! So far that is.

Yeah, about the markings. I was just kinda making it up as I went. I had taped the episode but my VCR decided it would be a pile and not pause right when I told it to. So parts of her, like her tummy and legs I had to just guess. My main goal was to get the fact that a) she had random runic markings, and b) her hair was wonderfully grown out.

I felt so sorry for Raven during the episode, but she looked so pretty with long hair, just like this picture! Very nice job on the pose and the symbols.

Are you kinding? I was wiggin' out the entire fight scene (and what followed that!). That episode got way darker then I originally thought it would. And the ending?! Oh man, was that a twist or what? I simply can not wait for the next new one, provided that it's followong up where Birthmark left off.

I just read the Terror of Trigon so when I saw this today (which I've been waiting for all week anyway) I was soooooooooooooooooo stoked! Best episode yet! And when she flashed to the future, the scenes were just like in thee terror of trigon, with the super-heros turned to stone and their souls trapped and the building turned to stone and.... man its just too much. One thing that bugs me. I know its a kid show so obviously they cant show T& A, but how come every time a girls outfit gets completely thrashed it somehow manages to stay completely intact only over the "no-no" areas? I think they should have like pieces of cloth else where and like rip it up a little more in the other areas without showing anything so it not like "wow girl x was got caught in a massive explosion so all her clothes were burned away, except for there and there were it managed to rip into a perfect halter top and briefs.....".

I'm still really curious about the hair part. Makes me wonder if it's always been that long and she has to keep cutting it, or if it was a one time "Oh no here comes the birthmarks, now bring on the hair!" kind of thing. I'm still pissed she cut it, but then again I can't really see the show's staff really willing to make that kind of permanent character design change.

Maybe the hair was symbolic. If you watch it again, note the passing of time as Slade shows her the future, so maybe its some sort of time passing thing. Also, When her hair was long it was more wild-looking, as opposed to the usual, cropped, under-control style. Maybe the long hair was symbolic of when she will one day lose control?

Both of those theories (the symbolism and the passage of time) sound quite valid. I'm going to start looking into it, since I've become quite curious about all the back round and side stories following this prophecy business.

Because it was just where her birthmarks were. Maybe she didn't have anything there? I thought that too, but I had no problem, because I'm not a big fan of that stuff. You do however bring up a good point.
