Jacob/ jack's brother Carlyle.

Carlyle is a doctor and has a high level position in the hospital where he works. He loves his brother Jacob very much, some would say obsessively. He has a distaste for Jacob's multiple personality, Jack, and makes this known whenever they are in contact, despite the fact that he taunts Jacob with Jack in a seemingly positive manner.

When they were younger Carlyle suffered most of their father John's chronic and ever worsening forms of abuse, feeling it was his job to keep his father away from Jacob. After John's suicide Carlyle took sole responsibility for Jacob despite being only 19 and in med school. After turning 18 Jacob left and avoided him as much as possible but Carlyle still kept an eye on him. He is married and will eventually have twins with his wife Lucinda (jacob has no idea he's married, he ignored the phone call).

He likes the color red, video games, muscle cars, raspberry flavored hard candy, kids, and creeping on Jacob. He hates Jack, Jwilliam, muffins, and people that hurt children.

He's a bit of a masochist, he wears his fathers glasses even though he doesn't need them, rarely sleeps, and kills people that won't stop hurting their kids.
